This was my Grandfather's lathe. If I were to tell you half of what I know of his life, you'd envision me writing this while wearing a tinfoil hat. Born in Sicily, his family eventually settled in Chicago. Prohibition... WWII... The Cold War. Use your imagination to fill in the blanks. He purchased this lathe to make silencers. I now use it to make levercap screws. I think we can put that in the swords to plowshares column.
Don't get me wrong. My Grandfather was a brilliant and ethical man.
